Legendary moments in football history, World Records on the blue running track, unforgettable concerts with the greatest rock and pop stars in the world, a holy mass with Pope Bendict XVI. and much more has taken place at the Olympiastadion Berlin since the doors reopened in 2004.
On days without scheduled events, the Olympiastadion Berlin has established itself as one of the premier tourist destinations in Berlin. More than 300.000 guests from across the globe flock to the sports and entertainment venue on a yearly basis in order to experience the profound history that lies behind this multi-functional arena. Visits are available on an individual basis or via booking a tour with one of our tour guides, who will take you on a journey through the sports, cultural and architectural history of the site.
About 200 special and business events, 50 days of usage as a film and foto set and many major events make the Olympiastadion Berlin a 365-day event venue. The marketing and of course the facility management required in Germany’s largest seating capacity stadium (74,655 seats) requires a systematic approach and a knack for integrating digital and sustainable technologies.
Looking ahead to 2015 at the Olympiastadion Berlin is definitely worth it: 2015 will be a year to remember. Besides the 17 Hertha BSC Bundesliga home matches, the DFB Cup Final (May 30, 2015), the UEFA Men’s Champions League Final (June 6, 2015), Helene Fischer (July 4, 2015) and Udo Lindenberg (July 14, 2015) are already confirmed events. Additionally, the Olympiastadion Berlin team is working on bringing additional events to Berlin. Of course, the traditional yearly events such as the ISTAF, the Pyronale World Championships of Fireworks and many running events such as the B2RUN and BIG25 Berlin will also take place in 2015.
